Our team’s success with Crystal Rose projects like Pie Eyed and Wave Runners has fueled our anticipation of yet another standout cross from this dynamic duo.

As fruit-dominant flavors seem to multiply exponentially with each passing year, watermelon has proven to be an elusive and coveted flavor that is difficult for breeders to capture. Pursuing this challenging prize, Crystal Rose crossed a Watermelon Zkittlez female with his Pie Eyed male. Growing similarly to its paternal lineage, our pheno displays average height and symmetrical branching. The flowers exhibit the maternal traits of the Zkittlez lineage, but with the added luster of Pie Eyed’s abundant trichome coverage. Resinous buds emit sugary-sweet watermelon and strawberry aromas, akin to a frozen tropical drink. After curing, a creamy undertone emerges to complement the candy-like layers of mellow watermelon and ripe strawberry, giving the strain its unique moniker, Watermelon Otai. (If you’re not familiar with “otai”-style drinks, you’re not alone! This Polynesian drink, originating in Tonga, combines coconut water, coconut milk, and tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple, and, almost always, watermelon.) In Live Hash Rosin, the creaminess is exchanged for a more gassy profile which merges with those old-fashioned hard candy flavors.
