Embracing Transparency: The Power of PhytoFacts Reports

Cottonmouth Dispensary is collaborating with its suppliers and a local testing laboratory to pioneer a new standard of transparency with PhytoFacts. This advanced analyzation tool delivers detailed reports on the chemical composition of cannabis strains, allowing consumers to easily understand the complex chemistry of strain data. The provided information presents the complete chemical profile, encompassing aromas, flavors, and predicted effects based on the terpenes and cannabinoids present in the sample.

Keep in mind that only cultivators and manufacturers are required to test their products for regulatory compliance. As a retailer, all items in our inventory have already undergone rigorous testing before reaching our facility. We voluntarily subject our products to additional profile testing as needed, to uphold our commitment to transparency and instill unwavering confidence in our customers.

Example PhytoFacts Report:

Each report is divided into five distinct sections: General Info, Cannabinoids, Aroma & Flavor, Entourage Effects, and PhytoPrint.

  1. General Info: This section includes a chart showcasing total cannabinoid, terpene, and moisture content. It also lists basic testing details and contains a QR code leading to the sample’s full lab results, ensuring a complete understanding of the product’s composition and origin.

  1. Cannabinoids: This section displays a dial to compare the ratio of the two most dominant, and a table that lists the top six cannabinoids. To add a touch of authenticity, there is even a photo of the sample before undergoing analysis.

  1. Aroma & Flavor: In this section, two photos represent the dominant traits of aroma and flavor. Complemented by a radar chart proportional to intensity, these visual representations provide consumers with a precise understanding of how the product will smell and taste.

  1. Entourage Effect: Arguably the most innovative component, this section provides a graph of predicted effects based on the theory that the combined presence of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds in the plant can enhance or modify the overall effects of THC. It’s a fascinating glimpse into how the full spectrum of compounds may harmonize to produce effects beyond what the individual components might achieve.

  1. PhytoPrint: The final section identifies the seventeen most commonly occurring terpenoids in the sample. On the chart, the bars next to each terpenoid vary in color and length, enabling consumers to quickly recognize possible patterns between strains.

The additional PhytoPrint page goes a step further by connecting specific terpenoids to strain families. It then details the percentages of these terpenoids within each family, similar to the breakdown of ethnicities in DNA tests.
